The Family That Travels Together Stays Together

Do you guys remember the time, how you fight and argue with your siblings just to sit near the window of a train or car while traveling? Even if you communicate lesser with your family, but this traveling thing totally reverses the entire situation. Brings you closer, beyond your imagination.

Riding down the memory lane

I do remember the time when our family planned a trip to Taj Mahal with another close family in the late winter vacations. Our parents, cousins, elders all contributed to this ride by packing things, loading them to our TATA Sumo. Joking, singing, fighting over window seats, taking turns driving (of course elders), that’s how we reached our destination – Taj Mahal.

Feeling blessed

No words could ever describe the feeling you get when you reach your destination (in our case it was the Taj Mahal). That is the feeling I always get whenever I reach my goal. I guess, you too get that kind of feeling. Awestruck, thunder roaring in your ears, breathless all go away in a blink. A sense of peace, verity sinks in you. Just standing there makes you very much alive, complete, heightened senses, marveling everything around you. This is the magic of travel.

In between

What could happen in between the journey matters the most? How can you make your ride memorable or a disaster? It totally depends on how you look at the current situation.

Don’t play fish, be chattering magpies

In my case, I and family didn’t engage ourselves in playing the mute game but played spoken parlor game (antakshari) or name the place game or joke about now and then. But sometimes we too remain silent not for too long, just long enough to enjoy the scenic views passing every second.
The journey is not about staying silent but enjoying every second if you can manage it. What fun would it be if every individual in your family enjoys with you?

Silence matters

You can’t keep on talking or creating a racket, but I think some time staying silent is also a good option. By staying silent not too long, heightens your observation power or your senses too.
In this way, your mind relaxes, don’t brood on useless thoughts, stays healthy, and focused too. And you enjoy, learn and share more. Makes you more human, than you can ever be.

Breaks

Another important part of any journey is the breaks or stoppage you make. It is absolutely necessary. No journey completes without a break. Pee-break or driving break or eating break or stretching-your-legs break etc. it could be any kind of break. If don’t have, then invent one. What the point of having a break? Why make the journey longer or boring?
The reason is we all are humans, not Superman. Consider yourself as smartphones, that despite being efficient in all possible ways, needed to be regularly charged.  Otherwise,  we all are dead.
We too had breaks in between. Recharge yourself then move on to next level of traveling. Have fun along the journey, not being ill.

Farewell Taj

Overwhelming with feelings and joys bestowed by Taj itself, we bid adieu to Taj Mahal. We each took our share of Taj Mahal as well as the feelings we all achieved as one family.

Roller coaster ride

Just imagine how we all belonging to a different culture, customs, religions come together to participate in a journey. Each individual has its own journey to begin and end. That’s what traveling does. It brings people of different mindset under one roof and as one family.

Stronger the bond, closer the family

Whenever you have free time, just go traveling with your family. Don’t wait for summer or winter vacations or any other occasions. Time spent with family strengthens your family bond and trust among family members.
You talk more, fight more, laugh more, and share more stories. The reason is the time we all spend together on traveling brings the family closer and together. Be it a road trip or book a flight et cetera… et cetera… doesn’t matter at all. So guys, sometimes traveling too becomes a reason of togetherness or survival. Keep traveling, keep discovering yourself.
The end.
